Haws Employees Continue Quarterly Fundraising for Local SPCA

Haws volunteers and CEO presented the local SPCA with employee raised funds on September 30 at the Haws offices.

During the second quarter of 2015, Haws employees hosted multiple fundraisers to raise over $5,800 for the SPCA of Northern Nevada. Recently, Haws volunteers ceremoniously presented the SPCA with their donation at Haws headquarters.

The SPCA charity was selected as one of four charities that employees would support during the year. Charities are nominated and voted on every other year and an internal volunteer group develops creative fundraising efforts to engage and incentivize fellow employees to donate.  Haws employees have already donated over $20k this year. Other charities include the Food Bank of Northern Nevada, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, ALS, Veteran’s Guest House and more. The SPCA relies solely on donations from our community.

If you would like to make a one-time, monthly or yearly donation, please visit spcanevada.org or call 775-324-7773 x204. The shelter is always in need of dog and cat food, bleach, hand wipes, paper towels and other necessities.  A full list of items is available online.
