Hydrated and Ready For Summer 2015? Here Are 10 Tips!

Do you know how you plan to stay hydrated this summer? Just in case you don’t have it figured out, here are 10 tips to help you reach your goal of having  a very hydrated summer !


A morning refresher 

A glass of water (16oz)  in the morning helps to get your metabolism started. Your body goes on average 7-8 hours at night with out drinking water ! Hydrate with a 16oz cool glass of water.


Keep your water bottle updated

Tired of cleaning your current water bottle because its developing a odor or hard to clean, its time for a new one. Buy a water bottle you like !


Get an Insert for your water bottle

Do you prefer wide mouth bottles because of how easy they are to fill? Look for lid inserts that fits comfortably inside of your mouth. Inserts make water easier to drink especially if you’re active.


Try a clear water bottle 

Do you know how much you’re drinking? Clear reusable bottles help you to see your progress throughout the day and motivates you to keep refilling.


Set a daily goal

If you have a 16 ounce water bottle, make it a goal to fill it up three times throughout the day.


Stay hydrated with fruits and veggies

Add fruits and vegetables with high water content to your diet. Some fruits and or veggies can be: cabbage, spinach, squash, watermelon, citrus, cantaloupe, or strawberries.


Make a water journal

Write down how much water you drink to keep you on track with your daily goal.Drink water when exercising

Hydrate while active

Drink fluids while exercising, especially if exercising outdoors or in a hotter climate.




Stay hydrated while traveling

Are you a frequent traveler? If so, bring a small, empty water bottle and refill once you’re in your boarding area. The airplane cabin is a low humidity environment, which can dehydrate us and leave us even more susceptible to jet lag.


Flavor it up ! 

Bored with plain water? Add strawberries, cucumbers, lemon, or mint to add flavor. You can even purchase water bottle infusers that you can take on the go.
