As the Haws Sanitary Drinking Faucet Company was established in Berkeley, California in 1906, it is no surprise that there are many Haws drinking fountains throughout the Bay Area. Strolling through the San Francisco Zoo, many antique-style fountains, Haws model 3511, can be found as well as a 1001 pedestal fountain in the African Region of the park near the giraffes. Several fountains can be found along the Mt. Tamalpais trail, with a classic Haws fountain overlooking one of the trailheads. Other concrete Haws fountains can be found along the Great Highway by the beaches.
