Model CONCRETE Product Details

Haws Concrete Drinking Fountains are available in a wide variety of colors and finishes. The standard color is natural Portland Grey with an exposed aggregate finish. White cement is also available. Also available is the full variety and flexibility of L.M. Scofield integral admixtures.

Time-tested and proven for over 40 years, L.M. Scofield's CHROMIX Admixtures for Color-Conditioned Concrete provide permanent, fade-resistant, uniform and streak-free integral color-conditioning for Haws Drinking Fountains. The admixtures not only colors the concrete, but increase its strength at all ages and improves the freeze/thaw resistance. The addition of a CHROMIX Admixture provides endless design possibilities where your drinking fountains can be brought to life with rich color or be blended into the landscape.

Manufactured specifically for use in concrete, CHROMIX Admixtures are colored, water reducing, set-controlling admixtures that contain no calcium chloride. They are formulated to disperse color accurately and uniformly throughout the concrete mix, with coloring agents that are limeproof and have maximum resistance to the effects of sunlight (UV).

Haws Ornamental Stone Concrete Drinking Fountains are available in four finishes. Top-quality aggregates are mixed to produce a unique effect.
Light Sandblast: The form finished product is lightly sandblasted for a slightly pitted surface. Very few rocks are visible.
Medium Sandblast: The form finished product is given a little longer sandblasting time. More rocks are visible.
Heavy Sandblast: The form finished product is sandblasted to the extent that many rocks are visible.
Exposed Aggregate is the standard finish. A retardant is applied to the form to prevent the surface concrete from sticking. Upon removal, the excess concrete is carefully brushed and acid washed to expose the pea gravel.

Haws requires sample approval in writing if a non-standard color or finish is requested. Requests to match a custom color, finish or aggregate will be evaluated based on the estimated time, labor, and materials to achieve the desired result (additional cost). Please submit a sample.

Buy America Act Information

The vast majority of Haws products qualify under the terms of the act. However, since different purchases often require subtly different responses, Haws recommends that the specific document requesting certification be sent to customer service for a specific answer.
